Please be reminded this coming Friday (21st Aug) training is at PSA club. As told by JieYun, XunHui is fetching some from Vivo, otherwise..

Take an MRT/bus to Vivo City
From the bus stop outside Vivo City, take any bus
Alight at bus stop 3 (Considering Vivo City's as bus stop 0). You should see a big soccer field on your left
Walk and enter through the small gate leading straight the the netball court
Your destination have reached, please start training. :D

You can shower there, but training will have to end earlier because the club closes at 10pm. Don't forget to bring balls and bibs, whoever is holding onto them. (Also, please update what colour bibs are you all holding onto!) Those who are not coming, inform Jeannette or Charmaine or through the tagboard!

Those who have not paid club funds, pay to Xunhui this coming training!

Hi everyone!

Notes to add for training

1) Sprinting training is a must. eg: what we did for Friday's training : 8 sprints up and down one quarter, then 6 sprints from center circle, lastly 4 sprints from 2nd quarter

2) Arm training also a must. eg: end of training, bridge + one arm (both left and right) + superman blah blah. 30 seconds each.

Please please help to facilitate this part of our training. It'll help to keep us more fit as well.

As said in yesterday's de-brief that for now, Jieyun will be our acting team manager, Siying and Charmaine will be our acting co-captains. We will do a voting system afer 3 months (may vary) to choose our team manager and captains.

For now, Triplets will be handling the bibs, so whoever who is washing the bibs now. Please please please tag on the tagboard to say what colour bibs you have. Thanks (:

Josephine will be leaving Clique after ENL 2009 is over due to her upcoming workload and irregular hours. Clique would like to thank her for her contributions to the team. (:
ENL 2009 (IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ)
After neogiating with Thomas from Netball Singapore about the team grouping for ENL 2009, they are willing to compromise the term of the team grouping since it is their own mistake, as long we don't change the schedule of the game.

Both team Captains are to be aware of this big changes so as not to go for wrong matches.

Jie Yun has stepped down from her position - Captain

We will like to thank her for her past contributions to this team. (: &For now, the position - Captain, will now be left vacant til further notices.
Amelia has stepped down from her position - Treasurer, and Xun Hui has taken over this position.

The university is served by two entrances: Jalan Bahar entrance and Pioneer Road North entrance.

If you are coming by the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) in the direction of Tuas,

get off PIE at Exit 36
Turn right into Jalan Bahar after the down ramp and then look out for direction sign to the university
Turn left into Nanyang Avenue and proceed ahead to the Jalan Bahar entrance
About 5 m from the entrance is an information kiosk with a campus map, if you need help to navigate and locate the building you are visiting

If you are coming by the PIE in the direction of Changi Airport,

Get off the PIE at Exit 38

Christmas plannings changes

Hello ladies,

As Dale & Jeannette were unable to book at their houses, and Triplets will be away from the 25th, it have been confirmed that the location will be at Kallang Netball Centre as our last resort. Time will be from 7pm to 10pm. Food will be pizzas and other fast food on that day itself. Please be reminded to bring the presents too. Any attire will do.

All expenses will be from the netball fund, so fret not! (:

Hope you guys will have a blessed and happy christmas! See you guys on 27th at KNC. XiaoJuan will be sending an sms down the line to confirm the court number.

Hello ladies,

Due to Christmas next week, there will be no training on the next Friday night, 26th of December. Please take note of that. And also, those who did not attend tonight's training, the plan is that we'll have our christmas gathering on the 27th of December, Saturday. Location will be confirmed by tomorrow, it will be most probably be at Dale's new house. Please make yourself free from 6pm onwards. Thank you.

Make sure to get a christmas present. There are conditions for the present, as stated below.

Presents must be less than SGD$10
Presents must contain the colours - Blue, Pink & Purple (Excluding gift wrap)
Presents must not be cups, towels, photo frames, voucher, chocolate, food, stationaries & stuff toys.

Carnivals and Christmas Plannings

There is a new carnival going on next year, 2009, called Daisy Tan Netball Carnival. The closing date to enter into this carnival is on the 14th January 2009, at 5pm. Do let XiaoJuan* know whether you are able to make it or not, soon, so that it is possible to make changes and for team selections. (:

As for the Christmas Clique party, the date for this party has changed to the 27th December 2008, Saturday. Do inform Jeannette* whether this change is convenient for everyone. Thanks. (:

Hello ladies,

As we know Christmas is approaching really soon, and of course, it is an event that Clique must celebrate together. Now you can spread the season of giving by buying one present each to exchange with the rest. However to make this fun, the presents must be under these terms&conditions:

Presents must be less than SGD$10
Presents must contain the colours - Blue, Pink & Purple (Excluding gift wrap)
Presents must not be cups, towels, photo frames, voucher, chocolate, food, & stuff toys

Start cracking up your brains to hunt for a present. This event is in conjunction with Clique's outing on the 26th of December. Do RSVP to Jeannette by the 19th of December.

Year End League '08 Updates:
Last night match against Bedok BB White was a victory of 28 to 15. This also calls the end of the Year End League '08, having Clique to claim second in Division 3. As Sharon AhYi has said last night, we need to really improve much more. The photos taken will be uploaded as soon as XunHui send them over.

Trainings:
This coming Friday's training, 12th December, has been cancelled due to poor attendance. Please take note.

Upcoming events:
Dale's house warming is this coming Saturday, 13th December, at Parc Emily. Dale expects no gifts and guests to start coming in at 4pm. Hala BBQ and buffet starts at 6pm. Activities like swimming and billiard are available!

You can only come in from Selegie Road or Midle Road onto Sophia Terrace, then turn right into Niven Road and right into Mount Emily Road. The route is available in blue. Nearest expressway exit is CTE Orchard Road exit, and AYE Rochor Road exit.

If public transport:
Nearest MRT is Little India MRT, exit via Mackenzie Road, walk past the carpark towards the shophouses. A 3 minutes walk.
Also, Dhouby Ghaut MRT or Bugis Junction is about 10minutes walk.

Last night game against Sneaker Youth score was 27-43 to Sneaker Youth. Despite the lost, we do believe that everyone played and put in their best effort. Do not be discourage by the lost. We should learn from our mistakes, and continue to put in our best for our last match. (: & we would like to thank the supporters who made their way down, and supporting the team mentally.

Hello babes!!!

Thursday will see us start off our first match in the year end league so let’s start getting points for our league table with a WIN!!!

Last Friday’s team talk helped us alight our aim for CLIQUE - to remain a strong, competitive, and dangerous force in NS!!

So keep that in mind for every pass, throw and jump you will be doing girls, cause every movement you do on court, positive or negative, will affect everyone in the team.

Notes for the team we are sending…

Ashley- Don’t be afraid of not knowing where to go and what to do, cause the rest will be there to guide you. You can block beautifully, so make sure you use it k?

Azlinah- Hello Miss over positive! You are capable of nice dodges for attacking and good reading for defense when you get into your “zone”. Allow your passion of the game to spur you into performing well ya? –I know you have it in you.

Dale- As a fellow shooter, I admire your determination of getting the ball even with the defender close to you. You and Jean are capable of doing precise rotations so, to Jean too, believe that the magic is there for the both of you =D

Huijuan- Your passes and runs are always beautiful to watch. I’m sure it will once again motivate the team to work harder cause you put in your all for every move you make on court. =D

Jean- Keep doing the dodges you do girl! Your timing when going out for the ball has always been good. Believe in yourself that you can go for the passes and the shots for a win!

Jeannette- I have seen you grow a lot as a player. Girl, you have really improved tremendously!! More decisive passes, more aggression on court for the ball! Keep it up girl. Believe in yourself that the passes you make are perfect- you trained so hard for it.

Justina- You are capable of solid passes on court but dun forget to take time to watch for your player’s space ya. This league is for you to shine and I am sure you will.

Mel- The urge to get the ball is one of your strengths and it does motivate the others on court to do the same =D. After turning over a pass, remember to steady yourself before releasing the ball ya.

Shaminah- Have more confidence in yourself that you are made to defend. Love the way you hold your position before the ball reaches the d, but remember to keep your eyes on the ball ya.

Sharon- Ah yi!! The team still needs your lead!! Love your runs and solid passes so use that to motivate the rest to work on court ya.

Xiaojuan- Love the speed of your runs!! The drive you put in for every pass motivate us to work harder on court =D Be sure to vice up any mistakes made by us on court ya.. cause we all want to improve =D

Xunhui- Believe in yourself that you will be able to get the ball!! Cause when you believe in it, you turn over many many centre passes!! Be careful of the strength and direction of your passes, steady yourself before throwing!

Hope that helps you girls! We ARE gonna take home the three points! =D

Short term is for this coming Year End League.

Also, Long term goals are to reach the top of Division 3 in National standards.
That means going back to basics and learning from scratch how to work with one another.
Also, being a competitive team, Clique expects everyone's full attendance every week.
There's no point us paying 15 or 25 dollars if we're not going to make full use of it by coming down for trainings (:

Farewell dear friend

Dear all,

Shalene has officially tendered her resignation from Clique. While she misses Friday trainings with us, her new commitments does not give her much time to commit to trainings with us anymore. Shalene is very grateful to have joined our family and gotten to know each and everyone of us. Much thanks go to the triplets for bringing her into our family.

To shalene, Clique is more than a team, we're a "big, warm, happy family". She gives thanks to all the people who have supported her and cheered on for her and is immensely sorry to be leaving. This was not an easy decision for her but she brings with her fond memories of Clique and she hopes that everyone will not forget that she is the girl with the "most unique jump ever" and her secret wish to be Center, "albeit with a disgustingly lousy stamina". (:

Shalene wishes everyone all the best. Clique also wishes to thank Shalene for her commitment to the team in coming for trainings and matches. While it is regretful, Clique still wishes Shalene the best and hopes that she will continue to hone her skills and her love for netball!

After checking the schedule of all the players and realizing that many of our players have prior commitments at the end of the year, Clique will be sending in only one team for the Year End League for exposure and experience.
