Farewell dear friend
Dear all,
Shalene has officially tendered her resignation from Clique. While she misses Friday trainings with us, her new commitments does not give her much time to commit to trainings with us anymore. Shalene is very grateful to have joined our family and gotten to know each and everyone of us. Much thanks go to the triplets for bringing her into our family.
To shalene, Clique is more than a team, we're a "big, warm, happy family". She gives thanks to all the people who have supported her and cheered on for her and is immensely sorry to be leaving. This was not an easy decision for her but she brings with her fond memories of Clique and she hopes that everyone will not forget that she is the girl with the "most unique jump ever" and her secret wish to be Center, "albeit with a disgustingly lousy stamina". (:
Shalene wishes everyone all the best. Clique also wishes to thank Shalene for her commitment to the team in coming for trainings and matches. While it is regretful, Clique still wishes Shalene the best and hopes that she will continue to hone her skills and her love for netball!
With love,
Clique

WOL
Here are the other nominees that you guys have voted for, including the comments that you guys have made. (: Comments are consolidated.
Dale
Woman of the League 2008
"I admire her perseverance throughout the league especially when she met real aggressive defenders. She never stop trying to try to wiggle her way to get balls from the feeder and work with her other partner, with the amount of pressure she faced throughout the league."
JieYun
"An aspiring team captain who led the team through victories and lost. She was always able to calm the team and keep us stable together, not forgetting her constant encouragements both on and off the court. During games, she never fails to go all out and defend every single ball that comes her way. Her ability to adapt and adjust herself to each and every unique situation while playing against different teams was indeed a strength that was valuable to be credited for our wins."
HuiJuan
"As a spectator from outside the court, I can see each quarter when HuiJuan (as Center) is put into the court, there will be drastic change in the play in a positive way. Play usually is more flowing in the mid court. Her 1 & a half steps are so bloody coooool! :P Heh. Super stable. & she got the chiong chiong attitude when ball gets converted. Always chiong down to defending side and help. It's quite a pity that she's short that she can't play GD, or I think she will be a good good GD. (Heh, sorry eh.) No lost of cool on court ever. Handle situations steadily. :D Performance for each quarter/game played, was rather stable and constant. No complains, gives good and productive ideas. Gets along well with everyone, in Clique. (:I think she's a good role model for everyone in Clique, based on her attitude, play and temper!
Jean
"She was still able to perform despite being up against foul-playing GKs and the unfair umpires."
Daphne
"Great defense and cover in the circle and good support when attacking. Consistent performance throughout the league."
QianQin
"Great effort seen in all the games with good attitude."
Desiree
"Because she play so many games still can tahan to play C for the full game. Quite steady. And she gives very good support whether for defense or attack."
Charmaine
"Because she had very very steady shots throughout the league. And it was her shots that mostly led us to victory."
Shalene
"She has definitely made lots of improvement and was flying on court all the time! She puts in her best in all the games that she played and is definitely a great motivation to the team."
